Overview

This document outlines Valkit.ai's position regarding the EU AI Act compliance and scope requirements.

Compliance Position

Valkit.ai has conducted a thorough assessment of our operations against the EU AI Act's scope definitions and requirements. Based on our analysis, we have determined that our systems fall outside the scope of the EU AI Act's regulatory framework.

Basis for Out-of-Scope Determination

  • 1. Safety Component Assessment

    Our AI systems do not function as safety components as defined in Article 3, point 14 of the EU AI Act. Specifically:

    • Our systems do not fulfill critical safety functions
    • System operations do not impact the health and safety of persons or property
    • Our solutions do not integrate with or control any of the regulated product categories listed in Annex 1, Section A
  • 2. Product Classification

    Valkit.ai's solutions do not fall within any of the regulated product categories specified in the EU AI Act, including:

    • Machinery
    • Safety equipment
    • Medical devices
    • Personal protective equipment
    • Other regulated categories as listed in Annex 1, Section A
  • 3. Risk Classification

    Our systems:

    • Do not engage in prohibited AI practices
    • Do not qualify as high-risk AI systems under the Act's criteria
    • Do not interface with critical infrastructure or essential services

Ongoing Compliance Monitoring

While currently out of scope, Valkit.ai maintains a proactive stance on regulatory compliance:

  • We continuously monitor changes in AI regulations
  • We regularly assess our systems against evolving compliance requirements
  • We maintain documentation of our compliance assessments
  • We are prepared to adapt our systems if future developments bring them within scope
